Guild Wars 2 Closed Beta Rumored for November

The video game world is abuzz about the potential of a closed Guild Wars 2 beta happening this year and it looks like the possibility has been further substantiated. A translated Korean press release, discussing inclusion of the game at the upcoming G-Star gaming conference, stated that developer ArenaNet would be present “following the start of the Beta West.”

Granted, translations can be sketchy sources of information and no official confirmation regarding this beta start date has been released. But, since we’ve already received word the beta was scheduled for this year – which is rapidly coming to a close – and we even got our hands on a playable demo at PAX 2011, this rumor is looking rather likely.

No official launch date has been announced for Guild Wars 2, but since the beta is (maybe) starting this year, expect the actual release to be… sometime later.
