Dead Space 3 Gets Unconfirmed Wintry Makeover

When it comes to Dead Space 3, white is the new black. EA has not yet confirmed Dead Space 3, nor released any information on it, despite a sighting of a Dead Space 3 logo a few days ago on an Israeli news show, of all places. However, a few details have emerged about the new installment – namely, that the continuation of Isaac Clarke’s action-horror adventures takes place on an ice world.

More specifically, the next installment of the suspenseful sci-fi horror franchise is to be set on the blizzard-rent world of Tau Volantis, where Isaac crash-lands after the events of Dead Space 2. He discovers a survivor (let’s hope that this time Isaac doesn’t just watch the man die while fiddling around with his new-found plasma cutter) who reveals that Ellie from Dead Space 2 is also on the planet. Naturally, Isaac goes to find her.

There are a few more rudimentary, story-related details, including one scene where Isaac, Ellie, and a new girl named Jennifer (who is working on some kind of codex), are scaling a mountain to the sound of blood-curdling screams in the distance. Maybe whatever it is is just really happy to see them?

I am a huge sucker for horror games, and based on how much I enjoyed the Dead Space series thus far, I can’t help but be unreasonably excited for this one. Here’s hoping for more details soon!
