According to a tweet by Mojang founder Notch (Who seemed far too enthused about something like this), the copyright infringement case between his studio and Bethesda will be going to court.
In case you’re unaware, Bethesda is claiming that the name of Mojang’s upcoming game, Scrolls, violates their copyright on The Elder Scrolls. You know, the real name for the series that includes Oblivion and Skyrim. The name that no one uses.
Notch even attempted to challenge Bethesda to a Quake 3 tournament, stating that should he lose, he would change the name of his game. Apparently Bethesda, who owns Quake creators id Software, weren’t having it and nothing came from the challenge.
I guess there’s not much we can do now, but sit back and watch the ridiculousness unfold in front of us. Please see the local bookie to make your bets.

I’m pretty sure it’s ZeniMax (Bethesda’s owner) that is taking him to court, not Bethesda themselves.
I use that name. Wanna fight about it?
Come at me, bro
Even though it’s total bullshit, I hope that Notch just changes the name, so he can focus on making minecraft even better!
