The supposed video for Resident Evil 6 was posted by Kotaku – claiming it was screened in the closed-door Capcom press conference at the Tokyo Game Show – and has been confirmed fake. Eurogamer reports the inaccuracy based on reports from IGN writer Rich George and their first-hand accounts of those at the conference.
Sources indicate that Capcom Japan had erroneously confirmed the video for Kotaku, though why or how this occurred is unclear.
The trailer itself contains no real gameplay footage, only fading text and brief flashes of concept art and a spinning Earth. Though, I did notice a pair of strange numbers that resemble coordinates, which when placed into Google Maps, simply point to a forested area in Canada.
Whether this is the world’s most subtle viral campaign or a simple prank is also unclear.

Well this makes me sad now… I really want them to announce this game, besides all the OTHER *cough*operationraccooncity*cough* games that they seem to be putting out.
Why would Capcom confirm that it’s real and then change their mind. Sounds to me like they’re trying to cover up what shouldn’t have been shown yet. Either that or Capcom is full of idiots that don’t know what they’re showing
