Ninja Gaiden Creator is a Playable Character in Saints Row: The Third

In a recent hands-on preview of Saints Row: The Third from the Tokyo Game Show, Gamespot reveals a number of interesting details about the game. The most interesting – and bizarre – detail being that Tomonobu Itagaki, the outspoken creator of Dead or Alive and the current Ninja Gaiden series, is actually in the game. And not just some dinky cameo where he shows up briefly for a cutscene – he’s a fully playable character.

Apparently, Itagaki was so impressed by the latest Saints Row game (he’s not alone) at E3, that after telling the higher ups at THQ about it, they decided to put him in the game. For those who are unaware of the connection between Itagaki and THQ, Itagaki’s new studio, Valhalla Game Studios, is developing Devil’s Third, which THQ is publishing.

November 15th just can’t come soon enough.
