Update: The trailer was apparently a fake. More details here. The original (and now apparently incorrect) story follows.
Today at TGS Capcom showed the first trailer for the next installment of the Resident Evil franchise. Outside of the trailer, no details were released for the game.
The trailer doesn’t really give us a whole lot, either. There’s a black background, and text that, at first, reads “The world has seen all kinds of horror… Bio-organic weapons have taken over.”
There’s a shot of the Earth spinning, and then “And one place has the key to stop it all,” followed by a shot of a laboratory. Interestingly though, “48.415802,-89.2673″, which look like coordinates, appears before the logo shows up. If you were to look them up, they lead to somewhere in Ontario, Canada.
What does this all mean? What’s in Ontario? Will the game be as uninteresting as Resident Evil 5? Looks like we’ll have to wait to find out.

Two words.
Zombie Mounties.
Let’s get back to our survival horror roots, eh Capcom??
Bah! I got all jazzed up. I live in Thunder Bay, I travel by those coordinates all the time. There is a bike path along the river there. The path joins the local University and College together. Yeah, there is a golf course in between. I was about to go out and see what was at the spot.
