Ready your hidden blades, because the backstabbing antics of the Assassin’s Creed: Revelations beta begin today. Granted, those without a PlayStation Plus membership – or a golden ticket from Ubisoft – will be left out in the cold.
VG247 reports that the beta will begin with the levels Knight’s Hospital and Antioch, and will be updated with a third, Constantinople (Not Istanbul), at a later date. Ubisoft has said that the new maps are “more strategic” than those found in Brotherhood, which is bad news for that one guy in each match that sprints everywhere.
The beta will also initially feature three game modes, including wanted and manhunt returning from Brotherhood. New to the mix is deathmatch, which returns from everything else. Artifact assault, which is essentially capture the flag, will arrive at some point later in the beta.
If all that exclusion has got you down, then you’ll be happy to know that all nine selectable characters will be appearing in the beta, and with some form of limited character customization.
So, if you’ve got a PlaySation Plus membership or are a lucky Uplay who got an invite you can preload the game as soon as the PlayStation Store updates. Those of us who aren’t so lucky will have to wait for the games launch on November 15th, for the PS3, Xbox and PC.

I thought all uplay members linked to a PSN account got a code. I got one and was on as the servers went live. The graphic are as good if not better than the brotherhood singleplayer. Everything works ok seems smooth. Some games just have something that you can’ put your finger on. The beta has it. The full version will be epic.
Nope, only a few were selected and you are one of the lucky ones. apparently 50 people were selected world wide.
really only 50 people from Uplay, wow that makes me feel extra special now that i got one. BTW the game is great!
I was selected for the beta by Ubisoft. If it really is 50 worldwide that is awesome for me. But heaps of people probably have access if they have PSN Plus.
For the record; I didn’t have any information on how many people Ubisoft picked, I doubt it was fifty, but I don’t know about stars to dispute it.
Also, I found out earlier that the Beta will be available to all PS3 owners on the eighth
I got selected as well. But I am not a ps plus user so if it really is only 50 people, thats totally awesome.
I heard that if u reach the maximum everything in the beta in under a week they give u a free game download of Assassin’s creed revelations, COOL
NVM I found out that rumor was boguss my friend was messin with me, I was choosen to test the beta, it is good, though i already found a glitch in the gameplay, i don’t know if it’s true that only 50 people were chosen all i know is that i was. my gamer tag is Rave_mas i already reached level 16 it seems there is only 30 levels in the beta and the gameplay and how u get new abilities are very different from brotherhood, but so far i give it a 10 out of 10 only negative thing i have to say is that it is lacking in the customizing the characters
I’ve seen more people on forums sayin they got one than 50.
If it is out of 50 people boy do I feel lucky to get a chance to play the beta.
