While Junction Point Studios has not officially announced a sequel to Epic Mickey, it doesn’t seem that it’s far away. According to Destructoid, they are currently recording the interest of gamers by throwing out bits of information on the sequel, as well as putting out a few surveys.
Epic Mickey 2 would supposedly have a two-player split-screen option that would allow control of Mickey (along with his paint and thinner mechanics) and his older brother Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Oswald can spin his ears to fly like a helicopter and use electricity to defeat or somehow charm enemies.
One of the more interesting aspects is that this is being developed for the Wii, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. With the game not being released until next year at the soonest, the two-player option seems to be perfect for the Wii U and even the PlayStation 3 and Vita combinations.
Along with rumors of a sequel, there is also a survey to see which box art you prefer (as shown in the header). It is interesting to note that the first concept art of Epic Mickey seemed to have quite a foreboding and gloomy look, while the images shown for the box-art survey are much cheerier in tone. Among the survey options, there are even choices for the sequel’s name such as Epic Mickey 2: Return of the Mad Doctor, Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, Epic Mickey 2: Mystery on Mean Street, and just plain ole’ Epic Mickey 2.
I would love to see a polished sequel out of the Epic Mickey franchise. I found the first to be a valiant first try from first-time developer Junction Point Studios. With a better camera and controls, it could certainly live up to Mickey’s epic legacy. Despite all of this talk and surveys, Epic Mickey 2 is still considered to be a rumor – and nothing more – until it is officially announced.

I would love if the PS3 version came with EM1 on the disc for EM2, because that game was like the first game that they could easily port over for the Move. That, or just release the game for a discounted price to build hype.
