According to a tweet by Pete Hines, Vice President of PR and Marketing at Bethesda, you no longer have to worry about your fancy Elven sword made of glass breaking on you in the midst of and extremely lengthy fight with against a reasonably large bear.
The minds at Bethesda have decided to instead implement a system in which the player will be able to create and improve their respective pieces of equipment instead of keeping an ever weary eye on equipment durability. For those who actually like this idea, they can rejoice, and others can join them.
Unfortunately, there seems to be a slight disappointment in this decision with certain fans. So, I ask you, beloved readers of Piki Geek, what do you think?
We seem to eat up anything Skyrim here at Piki Geek, and rightfully so if we’re going by the impressions of Zach Martin in his PAX write-up on Skyrim. He had some kind words to say about his roughly fifteen minutes with his very own newly-skinned Skyrim lizardman.

degrading weapons suck!
Good decision. Bethesda is generally good at determining between annoying requirements and decent ones.
To me I feel as though degrading weapons is a remnant of the past. Where it existed to be a mechanic in order to simulate difficulty, but only resulted in minor annoyance.
Bring up console, add 75 points to armorer, repair the shit out of everything with one hammer.
This is a great decision. The game will be much smoother in combat and in general. Finally comes the time when you won’t have to run away from an epic battle because your sword broke.
