Straight from the folks in Seattle (that means PAX), we’ve received information in our busy, busy press room stating that Dark Horse publishing is teaming up with BioWare in order to announce and bring The Art of the Mass Effect Universe to store shelves.
For those anticipating the third installment of the Mass Effect series, this could be your Mass Effect appetizer until sometime next year. Featuring commentary by the minds behind the Mass Effect universe and series, it’ll bring readers and gawkers alike a deeper look into the creative processes of the series.
“The Art of the Mass Effect Universe will reveal reams of never-before-seen artwork that was created during the development of this modern masterpiece.” said Dark Horse editor Dave Marshall in the press release.
If you’re a big fan of the Mass Effect universe, you can catch this hardcover art book hitting shelves in February of next year. Of course, as a hardcover release, you can expect to see it peeling $39.99 out of your wallet.
Releasing later this year, and lacking any further explanation within the press release, is the latest comic in the Mass Effect series called Mass Effect: Invasion on October 19th. Along with the comic book, readers can also catch Mass Effect: Evolution, the collection of the previous series, in stores on September 21st.
If you’re interested in more than just books of the Mass Effect universe, you can check out Piki Geek’s own Zach Martin’s hands-on impressions of Mass Effect 3 straight from PAX.
