Due to Ubisoft misinforming gamers about the always-online DRM required to play their new title From Dust, Steam is issuing refunds for PC Gamers who don’t want to wait for the upcoming patch to fix the issue.
As previously reported, From Dust will be receiving a patch that removes the DRM that has caused so much anger within the PC community. However Steam, apparently acting on behalf of Ubisoft, is refunding purchases of From Dust made through their system to any gamer unwilling to wait for the patch.
Valve originally replied to customers asking for compensation with the standard, “No refunds policy” but according to Rock Paper Shotgun this has begun to change today with Valve answering gamers requests for refunds with the affirmative.
If you are one of the many gamers angered with Ubisoft’s handling of the DRM issue and want a refund instead of having to wait for the patch, then I suggest you get in touch with Steam Support ASAP.

Asked for the refund, last time that I buy something from Ubisoft…
Gotta hand it to Steam – that’s some pretty impressive customer service. And Ubisoft – get with the program. Nobody likes your draconian DRM already.
When you get a refund, im assuming they remove the game from your account?
