Last month Yves Guillemot, the president of Ubisoft, casually suggested that the Sony will be forced into an early release of the PS4 to get the edge on Nintendo’s Wii U. To determine whether this rumor has any traction, CVG recently caught up with the CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment, Jim Ryan, on the Gamescom floor.
When questioned, Ryan heavily implied that Sony has no plans to release a next-gen system in the near future. Specifically declaring, “All I’m focused on right now is making the most of PS3″.
When pressed about future plans for the gaming company, the CEO explained that Sony is presently consumed with making the PS Vita launch more successful than its predecessors. Ryan focused on the all-star lineup of launch titles from 2K, Ubisoft and Activision, in addition to a “quality of content. . .[which] far exceeds anything we’ve had on any platform”.
With the PS3 still moving units and the upcoming launch of the PS Vita, it looks as though Sony definitely has its hands full in the upcoming year. You can bury those next-gen hopes for now, because the PS4 is likely still a long way off, if Sony’s official statements are to be believed.

SONY SUCK
@ahmed. no U SUCK!. if ur a microsoft fanboy, then get loss, if there is any console here that is already inapropriate for this generation that would be the 360? why because ps3 is becoming strong and the hardware behind it after all this years were so advanced ps3 is still reliable, and great to play, unlike the 360 i have to send it down to the repair shop all the time. all im saying 360 is running out of STEAM!.
This is amazing I been reading news at http://sonyps4.com and they seemed really excited about the sony ps 4 coming out.
