Deus Ex: Human Revolution is Finished, Hittin’ the Markets Soon

Deus Ex: Human Revolution has finally gone gold, bringing the tactical gameplay of Sarif Industries security officer Adam Jensen to the first-person RPG series in the long-awaited prequel to 2000′s original Deus Ex.

“We couldn’t be more excited that Deus Ex: Human Revolution has gone gold and will soon be in the hands of expectant gamers,” said Eidos-Montreal’s general manager Stephane D’Astous.

“As the first release for Eidos-Montreal, it’s impossible to express how extremely proud we are of the final product and all of the hard work that went into its creation.”

Originally announced in May 2007, the oft-delayed third entry to the series looks to finally be on its way out the doors and into your living room, allowing gamers to choose their own path from Combat, Stealth, Hacking, Exploration, Social or a combination of the five. Early previews of the game have looked great as Jensen is plunged into the seedy world of human augmentation at Sarif Industries after an attack leaves him brutally injured and he begins to discover the conspiracy bubbling up from beneath the surface.

Need to make it past armed sentries to reach the roof of a building? There will be more than one way to reach your goal.

The Deus Ex team has created an environment where any player can play the game differently to accomplish the same objectives. My Adam Jensen will probably run into any situation guns-a-blazing, but some players may prefer to lurk in the shadows, creating chaos without ever being seen.

Set about 25 years before the events of the original Deus Ex, Sarif Industries is leading the charge when it comes to biomechanical augmentations, but it will be up to Jensen to decide who he can trust. All is not as it seems, and Jensen will play an important role in deciding the future of humanity.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution will hit stores on August 23 in the United States, giving every player an opportunity to create a unique path through the game and uncover the dark secrets behind human augmentation. Will you welcome our biomechanical overlords or fight back? In one month, the choice will be yours.

I’ve been sold for a couple of months now. From what I’ve seen so far – it looks like it will be better than Invisible War so it’s already a winner in my book.
