The silly insanity of Goichi Suda of Grasshopper Manufacture continues with the addition of the zombie sawing cheerleading high school character from Lollipop Chainsaw. It seems as though the men at work behind the Wii-mote thrusting classic No More Heroes are trying to continue their legacy through the life of Juliet, a cheerleader from the videogame San Romero High. As the act of slaying zombies has become somehow cliché in the world of video games since the popularization of Left 4 Dead, I suppose none of us should be surprised that this exists, especially when it’s coming out of the same people who brought you Travis Touchdown. Which, might I add, is right up there with Garcia Hotspur, of Shadows of the Damned fame, for fantastic video game names.
Obvious allusions to the Lolita fascinations aside, Grasshopper Manufacture hasn’t said very much besides Lollipop Chainsaw is headed to both the PS3 and Xbox 360 and that a release date is ultimately to be determined.
If you want to see more of Juliet or Lollipop Chainsaw, a bunch of images of the character and what seems to be a detached head strapped to her waist have surfaced on Famitsu, enjoy(?).
