Fallout: New Vegas DLC, Old World Blues, Gets a Release Date

Obsidian’s track record with New Vegas DLC has been…inconsistent thus far. After Dead Money was released in December of 2010, it was five long months before the follow-up pack, Honest Hearts was released. But Honest Hearts was just the first of three incoming DLC packs, slated for release in May, June and July respectively. Well, June is nearly over and the newest DLC, Old World Blues, is still missing in action, but at least Bethesda has now provided a solid release date – July 19th.

Old World Blues will put the player into a science experiment in “The Big Empty”, an area full of pre-war research centers and tells the story of how many of the Mojave’s mutated beasts came into being. It’ll be available for 800 MS Points ($10) on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC simultaneously, but its delay into July will likely push back the next DLC, Lonesome Road, to August or September.

I don’t know why they keep releasing DLC. Most of the players beat the game when the game was first released. In order to enjoy those DLC we will need to replay the game (to remember the keys), in my case, reinstall the game to.

Of course it doesn’t apply to all, but to a lot of players it does apply. I have to reinstall the game and get to know the game again. I played it when it was first released (November of 2010 if I’m right).

Because you’re waiting for the GOTY version with all of the DLC already on the disc, of course! =P
