Earlier today at EA’s press conference DICE previewed eight minutes of Battlefield 3’s “Thunder Run” singleplayer mission. In it, you play Marine Sgt. Miller who is rolling across the fields in a tank with some buddies, out to hunt bad guys.
I’ll be blunt: It looks incredible. When we broke the Battlefield 3 news earlier, this is primarily what we were gushing over. Also of note is the A10s that come flying in, destroying absolutely everything in their path.

Perhaps the demo wasn’t directed well or something, possibly I didn’t eat my Wheaties yesterday. However, I actually got BORED watching this tank demo.
(And I have extremely fond memories of Battlefield 1942.)
