When it comes to the realm of the imaginary, whether it’s games, film or literature, the phrase “suspension of disbelief” is often used to describe the mindset needed to be immersed in the experience of the work. First and foremost, this pre-alpha footage looks gorgeous. As a launch title for PS2, the original SSX featured some of the best-rendered and smoothest graphics of its day. The trailer for the reboot shows that EA has not fallen behind the times when it comes to digital snow & lens flares. The soundtrack for this reboot had a lot to live up to, and the developers seem content to stick with what works in the form of pulsing high-energy electronic beats. The character Mac, a series favorite, was revealed to be making a return, along with the previously-announced Elise. Look for more details on the new version of SSX in the coming weeks.
