Blizzard just launched their official StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm preview site. It contains a ton of information about the new game, including some story information and a metric ton of concept art.
It appears that the StarCraft II expansion will follow Sarah Kerrigan’s journey following her separation from the swarm. It looks like Jim Raynor will play a major part in the story, as will the primary villain of the past game, Arcturus Mengsk. All of the other characters featured on Blizzard’s site look to be new zerg creations, which is pretty interesting.
Also awesome? A very brief gameplay clip that shows the player controlling Kerrigan. Oh – and a lot of banelings. Seriously. I won’t ruin everything here for those of you that like a bit of a surprise, but if you’re a StarCraft fan and have a few minutes to blow, go browse around the site for a bit.
