Good news, everyone! Arc System Works, the creator of two of the best fighting games of the last decade, BlazBlue and Guilty Gear, has finally won the rights back to Guilty Gear from the Sega owned Sammy company, who has been letting the franchise rot in purgatory since receiving the license. Though BlazBlue was a successful venture back into fighting game territory for Arc System Works, fighting game fans have been secretly wishing for the return of the genre’s true saviors, the eccentric cast of the frenetic, combo-laden Guilty Gear.
Could this mean a new Guilty Gear is just over the horizon? We sure hope so.
