Bethesda’s highly anticipated shooter BRINK releases tomorrow and to wet our appetites Bethesda has revealed a trailer highlighting the game’s play style, some of the character classes, and a whole lot of the story.
Hit the bump for a look at the trailer, or a written summary if you hate looking at explosions.
The plot reads like Demolition Man on a boat. Players can choose between two factions, the freedom loving mob trying to escape the city or the uniformed fascists working for the man, trying to maintain order by forcing the undesirables into submission. The story seems pretty straightforward, and offers a decent enough backdrop for the gameplay that combines a class system similar to the Battlefield series and the parkour/free-running of Mirror’s Edge.
With over 102.2 Quadrillion character Customizations Bethesda is looking to create a rich online multiplayer experience that will keep gamers engaged over the long haul. But at the end of the day, it won’t mean anything if they can’t produce a balanced and exciting game that can find a niche in the Call of Duty and Bad Company dominated market.
