In GeekBack, we ask you a question about games, the industry or the media and then let you do our work for us.
Normally we use this space to test the waters on specific, high profile gaming issues, but we’re doing something a bit different this week. You guys, our beloved readers, have managed to get in on the ground floor of a gaming site with a bunch of passionate people running around behind the scenes trying to make the best damn experience we can. I think we do a pretty good job, too. We’ve got a bunch of neat things I’m proud of, like the way we try to give back to our readers and the (hopefully) humorous mouseover text we hide in each article’s image. But we need to remember that we’re only human, and in the end we’re doing this for you guys.
With that in mind, our question today is a simple one: How can we make Piki Geek better? We want everything from simple suggestions to pie-in-the-sky ideas for cool site features.

YO READERS.
While we’re on the subject of feedback, Piki Geek is experimenting with a new video called “Piki Peek”. (Similar to GiantBomb’s Quick Look series)
Yesterday, we recorded a test video. Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwlnXW8r59U
Check it out and let us know what you think.
While the concept was well executed, I don’t think pinball is the best game for a proof of concept…
All my ideas for fixing the site flew out the window now that I know your pictures have funny mouseover text. Now I have to go through all those past articles!
My only issue so far is that I’ve been getting inconsistant loading times on your site, one article loads fast and the next one takes forever. Not sure if it’s the site or my internet connection, but this is the only site it happens on.
That’s totally on our end. We switched servers at the beginning of the week, and we’re in the process of sorting all the bugs out. Hopefully we’ll be back to full strength soon.
But hey, what kind of a site run by redditors would be if we didn’t force you to put up with our server troubles?
My only gripe thus far is that your cycling Features/Reviews/Previews panel-ma-bob causes embeded video to chop up whenever it does it’s thing, which is frequently.
Everything else is aces. That Piki Peek is good also, nice and casual.
This site needs blackjack and hookers.
You know what? Forget the blackjack!
New reader here so forgive me if I have missed it, if not a “sort by platform” feature would be great.

I deff have to second reply notifications! It could send us a piki-message when we get a reply or something, since I almost never get messages anyway =P
We also should have the option to edit our comments that we make on article posts, it just makes sense for it to happen so we don’t have to spam the comment section with our error corrections.
Third for reply notifications. You’d think that a site created by Redditors would have thought of that. Also the editing thing, that’s a must as well.
I’m a big fan of video reviews/let’s play type of thing. Just make sure you’ve got someone with a good voice if you decide to go that route.
I come here looking for game news and information. Anything that increases the quality and quantity (with quality as a priority obviously) should be good.
Knowing what platform(s) a post is about at a glance via icons in the corner is a nice little thing that Joystiq has spoiled me with. It certainly wouldn’t go amiss here.
If you had static ads I would definitely turn my adblock off for this site. I can’t handle seeing things moving in my peripherals.
Uhh… maybe making changing profile pictures less convoluted, perhaps?
I can’t think of anything else. You guys are doing a great job.
