Following a week-long promotional blitz that featured several reveals, both intentional and otherwise, Ubisoft has officially announced that Assassin’s Creed Revelations will coming this November to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
For those of you keeping score, Revelations will be the third Assassin’s Creed game in as many years. This new entry sees AC2 and Brotherhood hero Ezio Auditore travelling to Constantinople to prevent those ever-meddling Templars from overthrowing the Ottoman Empire. Along the way, you’ll also find yourself in control of Altair (and, of course, perennial descendent Desmond), though precisely how all these storylines will tie together remains a mystery.
Also returning will be Brotherhood’s critically acclaimed multiplayer, complete with an expanded set of features and an increased focus on customization.
We should have many more details soon, as Revelations will be gracing the cover of the June issue of Game Informer, due on newsstands next Friday. In addition, Ubisoft has promised that the game will be making an appearance at E3 to shed some light on its “new features and some significant surprises.” Color us intrigued.

Always been a really big fan of the lore and feel of the AC series, I even loved the first game (Gasp!). So to me this doesn’t really seem like a “true” AC 3, but just another way to tie-in the first and the second game’s stories.
I’m just waiting for Desmond to finally take his role as the main character and we can run around a Mirror’s Edge-like environment in the futuristic city!
Man, I know how you feel. I love the Assassin’s Creed games, but I really want an AC3, not another game tacking on some stuff to Ezio’s story. Bring on more Desmond!
If this game improves as much as it did with AC1 to AC2 then I don’t have a problem with it.
Looking forward to this, hoping for some improvements but would be fine without many. Storyline sounds interesting, hopefully better than the last one.
if they balance it out between the three characters then that would be great!
I’ll get it, just not for $50.
