Deus Ex: Human Revolution PC System Specs Detailed

Well, this is embarrassing. Here I was, ready with this whole spiel about how Deus Ex: Human Revolution was going to require you to augment your PC, and it turns out the system requirements aren’t even that high. I hope you’re happy, Eidos. You made me waste a perfectly good joke.

Check out the specs for yourself after the jump.

Minimum Requirements:

  • OS: Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7 with DirectX 9.0c
  • PROCESSOR: 2 GHz dual core
  • RAM: 1 GB RAM (Windows XP) / 2 GB (Windows Vista and Windows 7)
  • GRAPHICS: NVIDIA GeForce 8000 series or ATI Radeon HD 2000 series or better
  • REQUIRED DISC SPACE: 8.5 GB

Recommended Requirements:

  • OS: Windows 7
  • PROCESSOR: AMD Phenom II X4 or Intel Core 2 Quad or better
  • RAM: 2 GB
  • GRAPHICS: AMD Radeon HD 5850
  • REQUIRED DISC SPACE: 8.5 GB

See, not so bad. I mean, you won’t be running the game on your ‘90s-era Gateway or anything, but anyone with a half-decent gaming PC shouldn’t have to fret about upgrading. I suppose that’s the real advantage of multiplatform games. Console life cycles have gotten so long that PC versions are basically forced to scale down nicely.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution will be releasing in North America on August 23 for the PS3, the 360 and, of course, PC. Australia and Europe will be getting the game a few days later on the 25 and the 26, respectively.

This game looks pretty darn sexy graphics-wise. Hope it gives my computer a run for its money ;D

I’ve seen bits and pieces of this game. It seems to be the sequel Deus Ex needed instead of Invisible War but with the recent trend of retailers like KMart, Amazon and even some bigger chains knocking off 20 bucks after a couple of weeks – I almost want to wait. There isn’t anything here that strikes me as something to pick up day one besides it had some “good” trailers.
