Well, now we’ve heard it straight from the horse’s mouth. In an interview with Edge, Shigeru Miyamoto has come as close as he possibly could to announcing a new console without using those exact words. He seemed somewhat hesitant to discuss the new console, saying “don’t ask! Even when the Wii launched we were developing new hardware, work on 3DS had already started. It’s a matter of when we announce it.” Well, that simply begged the question of when Nintendo will announce it, and when pressed on if that will be at E3 Miyamoto asked “please wait. Be patient until we decide.”
In another interview with Gameblog.fr, Miyamoto confirmed that he had heard rumors about the so-called Project Café, and that “it’s normal”. He also mentioned that Nintendo thinks “it takes five years to do interesting R&D”, and seeing as how the Wii will turn five years old this November, the time line adds up to a new console soon. So it’s pretty obvious that Nintendo has a console, they’re just trying to figure out the best way to announce it.

E3 will tell all. God knows that Nintendo needs to revamp their console space…
I might actually watch E3 live because of Nintendo this year!
Oh snap hope its something decent
Whatever it is it will make the headlines everywhere, but i won’t be disappointed if they wait another year or 2
