Mainline This Uncut L.A. Noire Trailer

08

LANT3

As you play out the story of L.A. Noire, you’ll help Cole Phelps rise through ranks of the LAPD to his eventual post as a homicide detective. On the way, you’ll pass through various departments, including the focus of the game’s just-released third trailer, the Vice Unit.

As the trailer shows, Vice cases will revolve around putting a stop to drugs, gambling and prostitution in 1940s Los Angeles. Given that most Rockstar games involve doing those those things as fun diversion, it’s a nice change-up to finally be the guy restoring law and order to the Sheen-esque escapades.

See for yourself after the break.

For those of you who wish to indulge yourselves, L.A. Noire is set to release on Xbox 360 and PS3 on May 17.

I am gonna let other people decide to get this game or not. I was totally sold on RDR and bought it at release. This game however …. I dunno. I like the premise, but it hasn’t convinced me yet.

I’m just completely disappointed at how they’re (again) spurning my platform of choice. I mean, honestly, I’d go out and buy RDR on the spot if it came out for PC, even now. This game also looks awesome, but chances are I’m not going to get the chance to play it for a while.

This game keeps looking better and better. It looks like there may be a lot of variety to the investigations.

The face capture system can range from from sweet-looking to meh, but the (talking) guy at 0:44 looks almost real! This game is looking better and better.

Well, the facial expressions are definitely legit. I new that was the guy from Fringe .5 seconds after seeing that picture. I can’t wait for this game. Rock star has proved they can create memorable characters and the graphics here are only going to make it that much better.
