We at Piki Geek are no strangers to big change, and after studying the developing trends of blog-format gaming sites, we decided to take a big leap into the future by innovating in a way never done before.
Today, we introduce Piki Geek 2.0 Beta.
With out patent-pending two-column design, you’re able to scroll in not one, but two windows based on where your mouse pointer hovers. The window on the left highlights recently-posted articles, while the right side randomly organizes submissions based on post date, content, pageviews, comments, tags, categories, and a bunch of other innovative things.
Hit the jump for additional pictures and information, or try it out for yourself on our new Piki Geek Beta Page.
Please let us know what you think about our new design, but please refrain from leaving negative comments, because we’ve already paid a shit-load of money for this design, and it’s permanently going live next month whether you like it or not.

That’s innovation!

I am disappoint. I recently left Kotaku because of a change in design similar to this (and they gave our account info to the Russians). Sigh..
whoosh
Amazing!!! you guys are so funny!
Don’t worry, we’re selling your information to the Russians AND the Chinese. Suck it Kotaku!
I’m loving the new site! It makes searching for articles much MUCH easier! Maybe we can impliment THREE columns next year?
Stay tuned, we’re scienceing as hard as we can.
I love the new layout. Kotaku, Gawker, and Lifehacker are so much more amazingly awesome since their UI change. I can’t wait for this design to come out of beta for Piki Geek.
I’d also really prefer to see a 3 column layout so I can see even more links to related articles/Facebook.
I see what happened here…
Finally! PikiGeek looks just like every Gawker site!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love the confusing new layout!
AAAHHHH!!! Must kill bookmark with fire.
And to think I bookmarked you guys….
you do realize this is an april fools joke right?
I think he’s April’s fooling your April’s fool!
We need to go deeper.
your april fooling our april fooling of fools?
DECEPTION
*BwaaAAAAaaam*
But you guys have not shown the true mark of good design is, the amount advertising space.
This looks pretty great, but I think you need bigger pictures with gigantic text on them, more huge ads, and I can’t really tell from imgur, but if this could all be 100% Ajax with no static links that would be awesome.
Also the articles you guys write are way too long, so you should probably cut the content down as much as possible with this new layout.
Looking great!
you forgot something, make titles as the whole article and puts some random ads in the bottom
Fantastic layout! You’ll also save money on bandwidth costs in the future!
Awesome layout, I heard that the sites that use them have a big increase in traffic.
Oh it kinda looks like Kotaku, great change though, its pretty and easy to navigate ;D
LOL. Why does this keep happening to me?
I was kind of expecting this, but it doesn’t make it any less welcome. PikiGeek, I am appoint.
Lol. I was like what? I left (insert website here) for something new, but I was like they were bought out because of how better they are. Well played.
I see what you did there.
