We’re not sure how Magicka: Vietnam will wind up playing, but we feel confident in prematurely calling it the greatest concept for an expansion pack in the history of gaming. That’s a bold statement, sure, but what else would you call an RPG choosing to parody the industry’s obsession with the gritty world of modern warfare simply because it can?
Thankfully, our wait for wizard-versus-Vietcong action won’t be very long, as Pardox has just announced that the DLC pack will be arriving via all major digital distribution platforms on Thursday, April 14. For the calendar-challenged, that’s a mere two weeks away. In addition, they’ve announced that the expansion will cost a rather reasonable $5.
To celebrate the announcement, the publisher also sent along 13 new screenshots showcasing some glorious Indochinese spellcasting. You can catch them after the jump.

It’s times like these that I wish Magicka would run on my computer.
Yeah mine can barely run it. Unfortunately the game isn’t hardly optimized. I’m probably still gonna get it though, 15fps be damned -.-
Josh, let’s play this.
Anybody know how much it’s going to cost?
$5, apparently. I’ve updated the article to include this info.
According to Kotaku you don’t have to buy the DLC to play it multiplayer with a friend, only 1 person (the host) has to own it.
Should be awesome.
