Surprise! Duke Nukem Forever Delayed

27

Pitchford

Wait a second.  Today isn’t April Fools is it?  After 12 long years, it seemed the impossible was happening – Duke Nukem Forever had an actual release date (May 3rd) and was looking well on its way to meeting that deadline.  It turns out Duke never comes early.

Duke Nukem Forever is now slated for release on June 14th in the US and June 10th internationally.  In retrospect, it seems another Duke Nukem delay is pretty much just par for the course.  Gearbox president Randy Pitchford announced the delay to the world, proving that they at least have a sense of humor about it.  Check it out after the break.

I should’t be surprised, after all this time.

I guess it seemed too good to be true. Regardless, I’ll still pick it up. Bad or not, Duke was one of my favorites growing up, and even if I have to watch it butchered in front of my very eyes, at least we will have closure.

      I miss you, Duke.

Lol the video was pretty good! If more companies annoucned a delay of a game like this, I think I’d be ok with them!

    Hahahaha, this made my morning.

Regardless, I’m glad they delayed it. To be honest, I wasn’t super impressed with what I played at PAX. =/

DNF is the Higgs-Boson of gaming. Every time it comes close to release it travels back in time and prevents it from happening.

I guess the developers came to make games and chew gum, but they still have some gum.

this comes a a huge surprise. Its not like they have been doing it for years and that the product most likely wont be as good as fans have built it up in their head to be.

This was well done, and the inevitable delay right before release is hilarious.

Nice post. I learn something more difficult on totally different blogs everyday. It will all the time be stimulating to learn content material from different writers and observe a bit of one thing from their store. I’d favor to make use of some with the content on my blog whether you don’t mind. Natually I’ll provide you with a link in your net blog. Thanks for sharing.
