Crytek’s Crysis 2 releases today on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC following three and a half years in development, a multi-platform, multiplayer beta and the leaking of a near-complete build back in February. The review embargo is still up for a couple more hours, but early review scores are overwhelmingly positive.
German sites GamesAktuell and PCGames both gave Crysis 2 solid 90% scores, while StatePress chimed in with a glowing 5/5 review. The official UK Xbox (print) Magazine gave the game 9/10, while its PlayStation-based sister publication awarded a score of 8/10.

I still have 0 plans to buy this.
No plans currently but… I might be won over yet.
I just noticed the rubble fell through the car…
Somebody forgot to put something in.

I played Crysis 2 (on a hacked ps3) for a few hours and although the high ratings are warranted (it’s a beautiful game, the graphics are mind-blowing) It takes itself way too seriously… it’s just not fun. I find myself just going back to games like Just Cause 2 because they’re such a joy to play even though they may not be nearly as polished as Crysis.
I think singleplayer is gonna be good but idk about multiplayer, felt like it was trying to hard to be cod
