Ruh-roh. Looks like someone at Ubisoft got a little lazy when it came to the Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood Digital Deluxe Edition for PC. A reddit user has spotted that the soundtrack MP3 included with the Digital Deluxe Edition seemed to be from an illegal rip. The files themselves were apparently tagged with “encoded by arsa13”, a name associated with a number of illegal torrented albums, including the Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood OST.
It would seem that someone at Ubisoft thought the quickest and easiest way to grab soundtrack content for their own game would be to mosey on down to their favorite torrent site, meaning that technically Ubi is responsible for pirating its own music.
Eurogamer has contacted Ubisoft for comment, and the publisher says it’s “currently investigating”.
Thanks to blackpaw for tipping this story. Piki Points and 100 Internets are headed your way.

Hopefully they’ve put the right man on it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DS8I96QinhA
I dont think it is possible to have picked a better pic for this article
It would be funny if whoever torrented the soundtrack didn’t turn uploading off and so Ubisoft actually distributed the files themselves.
