Killzone 3, the next in the good but perpetually overhyped series tasked with being Sony’s “Halo killer”, will see a demo released on February 9th. That is, unless you’re not a member of PlayStation Plus, in which case you’ll have to wait until the 16th for the demo.
Demos, actually. There will be two different versions released, one 2D and one 3D. Both will be essentially the same, except that the 3D version will have things jumping out of the screen at you and the 2D version will enable split-screen co-op, which won’t be available on the 3D demo.
Don’t worry though, one guy out there who loves both Move and 3D, the 2D and 3D versions will both be Move-enabled, meaning 3D TV owners will be able to wave your arms wildly at those baddies jumping out of your screen at you. We’re certainly interested to see how Sony implements its new control scheme into one of its most serious gaming franchises. This could either make motion controls the wave of the future, or set the whole genre back by making those who use it the laughing stock of the party.
