One fortunate side effect of Final Fantasy XIV sucking so badly is that Eidos has brought forward the release of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The upcoming prequel/re-imagining/reboot of the popular franchise is due sometime in the second quarter of this year, and Eidos is now promising around 25 hours of bionic, wall-punching gameplay.
In a recent interview with PC Gamer UK, Eidos Montreal’s David Anfossi says that the game’s testers generally do not manage to complete the game after a six-day week consisting of six hours per day of gameplay. That’s a little more than 25 hours, but we’re guessing Eidos is counting on some gamers powering through the game faster than their testers. Regardless, it’s still more than the ten or so we’ve come to expect from other shooters, and we hope that Eidos has spent those 25 hours wisely.
