S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Gets the $1 Games for Windows Live Treatment Today

In case you haven’t been paying attention, Microsoft has been selling some quality games at the price of nearly free. You just can’t beat deals like Age of Empires III plus both expansions for 10 cents, Shadowrun for 99 cents and now S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl for the same price. The catch?Besides only lasting one day, you need to buy the game through the Games for Windows Live Marketplace.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is an FPS set in an alternate reality where Chernobyl had a second meltdown. You are an explorer and scavenger in the damaged area, and have to deal with both the radiation and the mutants it has created. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is a solid game with an incredibly eerie atmosphere, definitely worth the 99 cent price tag, even if you have to deal with yet another gaming client.
