Swords & Soldiers Gets PC-and-Mac’d, as well as Move Support

Swords and Soldiers is one of my favorite downloadable titles. Unfortunately when I tell people about it, they have no idea what I’m talking about because the game was originally released exclusively as a WiiWare and then PSN title. However, knowing that WiiWare games aren’t exactly going to pay the bills, developer Ronimo Games has announced the launch of their side-scrolling RTS for Windows and Mac and a patch for the PS3 iteration that supports Sony’s new Move controller.

The Move feature is pretty much what you’d expect and allows the game to control more like its PC counterpart, what with the fluidity of selecting units and issuing commands. If you’re interested in the PS3 version, know that you can now download the demo which sports even more levels for you to try than it had in the past.

The appropriately dubbed Swords and Soldiers HD is currently available for $9.99 on Romino’s website and $7.99 on Steam (though that’s a limited-time price). S&SHD features an exhaustive single player campaign complete with 30 levels, a skirmish mode, bonus games and Steam functionality. It really is a huge game for a small price, and I can’t help but encourage everyone to at least give it a whirl.
