Bad Company 2 Vietnam Has a Release Date: December 21
DICE’s Vietnam era themed expansion pack to Battlefield: Bad Company 2 finally has moved up from the nebulous “Winter 2010” into the realm of concrete numbers. Console gamers will be able to pick up the $14.99, four map expansion on December 21, but PC players who purchase through the EA Store or Steam will be able to grab it three days in advance. After years of high profile games coming to PC months after consoles, it’s nice to see that the staggered release knife can still cut both ways.

(NASDAQ:ERTS) studio today announced that Battlefield: Bad Company™ 2 Vietnam, the digital expansion multiplayer pack for the mega-hit Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will be available exclusively at the EA Store™ and Steam on December 18, 2010 for the PC and on December 21, 2010 on Xbox LIVE® Marketplace and PlayStation® Network. Shooter fans will combat as either a U.S. Marine or as a member of the North Vietnamese Army (NVA) through varied, hostile terrain on four all-new multiplayer maps which are brought to life via the award-winning Frostbite™ engine. The Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam digital multiplayer expansion pack takes all of the intensity, action and addictive gameplay of the multi-million selling Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and ups the ante with new weapons, vehicles, achievements and trophies. This DLC package includes four multiplayer maps never before available in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 including reworked versions of fan favorites Oasis and Harvest Day from Battlefield: Bad Company. This map pack is free to owners of the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 PC game and console players who registered their VIP code.
