Today, Microsoft has officially launched their new Games for Windows Marketplace. Along with a new layout and game downloads, the marketplace now offers weekly and daily specials. Starting today, GTA IV’s price has been slashed by 40%, meaning you can pick it up for $11.99. (That’s cheap!) Hopefully this is an indication of the types of prices we can expect from future sales.
While the layout isn’t outrageously dissimilar from the last, it is nonetheless far more aesthetically pleasing, and makes it seem like Microsoft actually cares about PC gaming. While that latter part is probably still untrue, Microsoft has at least doubled their efforts and that can be seen in this newest update. So, if you’ve been looking for a reason to use Games for Windows, this may just be enough incentive to fire it up.
