Japanese developer, Mistwalker, announced today that their upcoming Wii RPG, The Last Story, will feature not two, three, four or even five player multiplayer, but six. That’s right, six player cooperative and competitive play! Players will be able to make use of the game’s ‘Raid Lobby’ to access the online component, where they will then decide whether to select a character and square off against up to five of their buddies, or team up and wallop giant monsters together.
The details pretty much stop there, but even this little bit of information should be enough to excite Nintendo and RPG fans around the globe. After all, if there are two things the Wii isn’t extremely known for it, it’s RPG and online games. So, putting the two together in one package seems like a surefire way to make lots of money off the Nintendo crowd. Stay tuned for more details as they unravel.
